Our projects

Crochet for wellbeing @ Oaktrees Newcastle

Oaktrees Newcastle is a local recovery service and day rehab. Working with staff, we delivered three crochet workshops to the group.

During these workshops people accessing the service and some of the staff learnt the basics of crochet. Together, we made a variety of flowers and then turned them into a garland to decorate the group room.

Intuitive embroidery @ Tyne Derwent Way

We facilitated two intuitive embroidery workshops with people of all ages at the Tyne Derwent Way space in Dunston/Staithes in Gateshead.

Produced by Dingy Butterflies, we were one of 10 artists who facilitated two workshops each. During our session, participants created tiny pieces of joy - small pieces of felt decorated with intuitive embroidery stitches and sequins.

Co-Designing the 'bag full of life' @ The Shipley Art Gallery

We co-designed a 4-session programme with Oasis Housing and The Shipley Art Gallery in Gateshead. Working with a group of people with experience of homelessness, we explored the topic of 'transitions'.

Together, we co-created a quilted bag with wet-felted and then embellished pockets.

This is one of hte felted and then embellished pieces that one of the participants made about her experience of transitioning into and then again out of homelessness service provision

Making and reflecting on AI for Public Health in Jersey

We took a trip to the island of Jersey and delivered an away-day workshop to the Public Health department. Working with Stokel Limited, we delivered a creative, reflexive day; encouraging the team to critically engage with topics of AI.
